Across the meadows and up to the Alpine huts all the way to the summit crosses: the Passeiertal Valley offers a number of great MTB trails of various difficulty levels. The one closest to us starts at the Hirzer cable car, just a few minutes’ walk away. Take the cable car as far as the Prenn halfway station (1,400 m), to the start of the Verdins MTB route. Another popular thrilling ride is the Schweinsteig trail in the opposite direction, which starts from Saltaus, via Tall and goes up to the Hirzerhütte refuge. A more relaxing ride along the Passeiertal Valley cycle track to the spa town of Meran, or St. Leonhard in the Passiertal Valley. It’s also worth riding up the Jaufen and Timmelsjoch mountain passes.

You don't even need to bring your bike with you on your biking holiday in South Tyrol. At the Alpenhof Lodge in Saltaus, you can borrow one of our mountain bikes free of charge. You can also rent our e-bikes at a discount.
