Our tip: If you wish to take part in the Friday hike, we recommend you complete the introduction on Monday, take part in the hike on Wednesday or rely on any existing knowledge you may have.

light and comfortable clothing; walking, jogging or light hiking shoes; if possible, a heart rate monitor. You may borrow Nordic Walking poles from us free of charge.
Cycling in Val Passiria
If you like being on two wheels, but prefer to leave your bicycle at home, we'd be delighted to lend you a mountain bike or an e-bike. Plus, at reception you'll find a cycling guide and a great deal of tips for a great day out.
If you do bring your bike, we have a garage for you to store it in.
Val Passiria is precisely the right place for mountain bike enthusiasts to be… predominantly a rocky gravel path, the Merano mountain bike trail is well maintained, well marked and brings you close to nature. The Passirio, our local river, will guide you along the entire trail.
Begin your bike tour directly from the Alpenhof… a short distance from the house, you'll find the Lungo Passirio, along which you can take a comfortable cycling tour towards Merano or continue further into Val Passiria.
The mountain landscape around us means that mountain bike fans will also be spoilt for choice by the various tours available, ranging in difficulty level from ‘easy’ to ‘challenging’. There are also weekly bike tours.

Paragliding… wonderful views from above
The Hirzer area is a true heaven for paragliders. In cooperation with local flying clubs, we can make your dreams of soaring high above the ground come true as you take part in a tandem paragliding activity and float over Val Passiria in South Tyrol. You may register on site.
The ‘Ifinger Tandemclub’ information office is really close by, at the Hirzer cable car.
New to Val Passiria – Canyoning and Tree Top Adventures
Between April and October, you can unleash your ‘inner Tarzan’ with a fantastic experience featuring climbing, abseiling, assault courses, ziplines and much more! The adrenaline junkies among you can have a go at canyoning (from June to September).

Fishing in Val Passiria... the perfect place for fly fishing
Beautiful countryside; crystal clear, diverse waters with mysterious pools; rapid sections and areas that meander at a leisurely pace; surrounded by our impressive mountain world means that Val Passiria offers the potential for fascinating fly fishing experiences. The ideal conditions for fly-fishing enthusiasts of any ability level, beginner and professionals alike.
Fishing licences and daily passes are available at the tourist office. Fishing is only possible from an hour before sunrise until an hour after sunset each day from mid-February until 30 September.
