The "Passirio" cycling path is 20km long without any noticeable gradient from Merano in the direction of S. Leonardo. The path leads through the fruit yards of the Passirio River.

Day-trip to Upper Bolzano. First you leave Bolzano with the suspension cable railway to Collalbo. Then you continue with the old cogwheel railway to Maria Assunta. You will finally get to the pyramids which are up to 20m in height and were formed by rain, wind and melt-water.
To the Bee Museum in Renon "Maya Bee" is approaching

Bird flight. to the falconry in Tirolo
Off you go to the bird doctor in Tirolo. Below "Tirol Castle" you find the care centre for birds. Injured birds are cared for by professionals. When the animal is "fit" again, it is released into free nature.
Twice per day there are bird flight shows where predators like eagles, buzzards and owls are presented. A great adventure!!
With the train to Bolzano or to the Venosta Valley
Everyone on board - the train is leaving!
Even the atmosphere of a train station is fascinating for children. The loud grumble and squeaking of the brakes before a train arrives - then up the high steps, via the wobbly connecting path to the next carriage. A short jolt and the train leaves.
Soon varied landscapes fly past the window. Into a tunnel, sometimes dark, sometimes bright, sometimes slow, sometimes fast - we reach our destination. By the way: In the Venosta Valley you can rent bicycles and return them at any train station. The cycling path is beautiful and great to cycle.
